NEW LONDON, Conn. – The JWU (Providence) baseball team suffered a 9-7 loss at Colby-Sawyer College Tuesday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's lacrosse action at Kelsey Baseball Field.
Junior
Xavier Botelho and sophomore
Jack Obert each collected two hits for the Wildcats (18-7, 9-2 GNAC), who led 6-2 after two innings before the Chargers scored six times in the third and twice in the fourth to take an 8-6 lead. Seniors
Riley Hasson and
EJ Leone, along with junior
Trevor Juan, all scored twice for JWU.
Freshman
Dylan Young was charged with the loss as he allowed five hits and five runs (four earned) in six innings of work to fall to 1-2. He walked three and struck out five in relief of sophomore
Max Randazzo, who allowed six runs (three earned) on one hit to go with five walks and two punchouts in two-plus innings of work.
