PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman Jessica Forneiro with 1-for-2 with an RBI in the opener and drove in the only run of game two with a triple in the seventh as the JWU (Providence) softball team swept a crucial Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader from Albertus Magnus College Sunday afternoon at the Shea Softball Complex.

Game One: Wildcats 4, Falcons 2
The Wildcats scored four times in the fourth behind a two-run double off the bat of senior Julia Huzi, an RBI single from Forneiro, and another from graduate student Hailey Erickson. Junior Mackenzie Clee picked up her second win in as many days, scattering six hits over 5.1 innings of work to go with four walks and three strikeouts. Clee and sophomore Jadyn Torres each collected two hits in the game one win.

Game Two: Wildcats 1, Falcons 0
Junior Caroline Amorelli laced a one-out single in the seventh and came around to score on Forneiro's second collegiate triple with two down in the frame. Junior Katie Scheid twirled a gem in the circle, allowing just four hits over seven shutout innings of work to pick up her eighth win of the season.
