Saints score at buzzer to defeat Wildcats, 14-13

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior Madeleine Gould and sophomore Izzy Babb each scored four goals for the JWU (Providence) women's lacrosse team in a 14-13 loss to Emmanuel (MA) College Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Clemente Field.

Senior Maris DiBeneditto and junior Isabella Nugent each scored twice for the Wildcats, who held an 11-8 lead early in the fourth and tied the game at 13 with 40 seconds remaining. The Saints (10-4, 8-0 GNAC) outscored JWU 6-3 over the final 15 minutes of the contest and handed the visitors their first conference loss since 2022.

Nugent led all student-athletes with 12 draw controls while Connor paced JWU with five ground balls and two caused turnovers. Junior Emma Glyman was credited with 15 saves.
