GORHAM, Maine – The JWU (Providence) men's lacrosse program was dealt an 11-5 loss at the University of Southern Maine Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Hannaford Field.

Graduate student Mike Catuosco was one of five Wildcats to find the back of the net and also finished with seven ground balls. Classmate Greg Centeio, seniors Brent Rickett and Hayden Haldane, and freshman Jacob Graham also scored for the Wildcats, who were outshot 42-39.

Trailing 5-2 after one quarter, the Wildcats were held scoreless until the fourth, which began with the Huskies holding a 9-2 advantage. Catuosco, Rickett, and Centeio netted goals in the final stanza in support of senior goalie Chris April, who notched 16 saves.
