Madeleine Gould racked up eight points on six goals and two assists in a 20-1 win for the JWU (Providence) women's lacrosse team in a 20-1 win over Lasell University Tuesday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
Gould scored six times and added a pair of assists as the Wildcats moved to 2-0 in conference play and evened their overall record at 3-3. Sophomore
Izzy Babb collected six points on two goals and four assists while senior
Maris DiBeneditto scored four times and senior
Katie Sloan, along with juniors
Isabella Nugent and
Neely Connor, each potted two goals.
JWU – which outshot the Lasers 49-8 – received nine ground balls and seven caused turnovers form Nugent while Gould led the Wildcats with seven draw controls. Junior
Emma Glyman needed to make just four saves to even her record at 3-3 this season.
