PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) women's basketball team suffered a 69-49 loss the University of Saint Joseph (CT) in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action Tuesday night at the Wildcat Center.

Aireus Raspberry struggled to find his shooting touch and finished with eight points while senior
Mike Rogers came off the bench and chipped in with seven points.
The Wildcats forced 11 first-half turnovers and held the Blue Jays to 30 percent shooting (8-of-27) but trailed by eight at the break (28-20). JWU connected on just 27 percent of their shots (9-of-33) and were paced by Raspberry with six points.
JWU began to find its offense in the second half as it sank 52 percent of its shots (15-of-29). USJ, meanwhile, rattled home 44 percent of its shots and forced 10 turnovers over the final 20 minutes to finish the game with 20 points off turnovers.
The Wildcats fell behind by as many as 15 points early in the second before ripping off an 18-11 run to climb to within eight (48-40) with 8:47 remaining following a layup from Zangerle. The Blue Jays responded by scoring 21 of the next 28 points to pull away. Lence Altenor led four USJ student-athletes in double figures with 15 points.
