PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) men's basketball team was defeated by Norwich University 66-56 on Senior Day in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action Saturday afternoon at the Wildcat Center.

Aireus Raspberry – who was honored prior to the start of the game for his contributions to the Wildcats program – recorded a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds in 40 minutes of action. Freshman
Symien Jemison dropped in 10 points, sophomore
Izaiah Shaw-Glen went for 10 points and four boards, and junior
Sean Duke scored six points.
The Wildcats shot 35 percent from the field and made all four of their attempts from the charity stripe. The Cadets, meanwhile, knocked down 44 percent of their shots and went 12-of-19 from the line (63 percent). Each team pulled down 39 rebounds.
Norwich took the lead for good eight minutes into the game at 12-10. The Cadets led by as many as 11 in the first half before JWU cut its deficit to two on a pair of occasions early in the second half. The Visitors quickly restored a double-digit lead which never fell below seven the rest of the way.
