PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) men's basketball team fell to Dean College 67-61 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action Wednesday night at the Wildcat Center.

Aireus Raspberry paced the Wildcats in scoring with 20 points in 40 minutes of action. Junior
Josh Zangerle knocked down three triples and closed the night with 17 points while sophomore
Izaiah Shaw-Glen notched a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards.
The Bulldogs – who trailed by five at the break and as many as 11 in the second half – outscored the Wildcats 29-12 over the last 14:25 of the contest to improve to 7-16 on the season (4-9 GNAC). AJ Weston played 40 minutes for Dean and registered 17 points and four assists.
Raspberry and Zangerle combined for 22 first-half points as JWU shot 43 percent from the field and outrebounded the visitors 22-17. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, sank 52 percent of their shots in the second half and also crashed the glass, outrebounding the Wildcats 22-14 over the final 20 minutes.
Dean took the lead for good at 57-56 on a field goal from Weston with 6:21 remaining. The lead grew to as many as eight with 3:37 to go and never fell below three the rest of the way.
