WESTON, Mass. – The JWU (Providence) men's basketball team fell to Regis (MA) College 58-57 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action Saturday afternoon at Higgins Court.

Aireus Raspberry scored a team-high 17 points to go with nine boards and four assists in his final collegiate contest. Junior
Josh Zangerle knocked down three triples and finished with 14 points while sophomore
Izaiah Shaw-Glen chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds.
The Wildcats trailed by two at the half (26-24) behind eight from Zangerle and seven from Raspberry. JWU shot 28 percent from the field but held the Pride to 24 percent (8-of-33) through the first 20 minutes.
Raspberry gave the Wildcats their first lead of the second half (41-40) when he made one-of-two from the line with 6:40 on the clock, and a layup from senior
Mike Rogers at 4:51 pushed the lead to three (45-42).
The Pride scored the next five points to move back in front 52-47 before Raspberry converted an and-1 layup and two free throws inside of the final minute of regulation to bring his team to within one (58-57).
The Wildcats had the final shot of the contest to win the game but were unable to convert. Regis (MA) outrebounded JWU 45-35 and shot 35 percent on the afternoon while JWU canned 33 percent of its field goal attempts.
