Game Recap: Men's Ice Hockey |

Inzirillo records 34 saves in 1-0 loss to Rams

PAWTUCKET, R.I. – Sophomore Jake Inzirillo turned aside 34 shots for the JWU (Providence) men's ice hockey team in a 1-0 loss to Suffolk University Saturday night in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Lynch Arena.

For the second-straight night, the Wildcats were stymied on offense by a relentless Rams forecheck. The visitors finished the evening with a 35-17 advantage in shots and scored the only goal they would need 4:43 into the second on the PP when Ryan Webb potted his fourth of the season.

The Wildcats (4-5-1, 2-4-1 CNE) went 0-for-3 with the man advantage and finished the night with 23 blocked shots, led by sophomore Joe Freeman with five and three each from graduate students Noel Parker and Brendan Shandley, as well as sophomore Chris Alexander.
