Hennessy scores twice in 4-1 win at Anna Maria

AUBURN, Mass. – Freshman Cullen Hennessy scored a pair of goals and sophomore netminder Jake Inzirillo tallied a career-high 59 saves for the JWU (Providence) men's ice hockey team in a 4-1 win at Anna Maria Friday night in non-conference action at Horgan Ice Arena.

Senior Kadyn Fennell and sophomore Chris Alexander also lit the lamp for the Wildcats, who closed out the first half with more wins than they accumulated during the 2023-24 campaign. JWU scored a pair of even strength goals to go with a power-play marker and a shorthanded tally.

Hennessy and Fennell scored a pair of unassisted goals in the first period to send the Wildcats to the locker room up a pair. They stretched their lead to 3-0 early in the third on a PP marker from Alexander and Hennessy's second of the contest at 18:56 sealed the win.

JWU killed off all six AMCat power play opportunities and received three blocked shots from senior defenseman Conner Lindsoe.
