SALEM, Mass. – Freshman Isabella Suero led four JWU (Providence) student-athletes in double figures with 21 points in an 88-61 win at Salem State Wednesday night in non-conference women's basketball action at Twohig Gym.

Suero knocked down five triples and also filled the stat sheet with five assists, three boards and a pair of steals as the Wildcats remained unbeaten on the season at 6-0. Classmate Brianne Foley went 3-of-5 from downtown and finished with 18 points, 10 boards and three dimes while freshman and reigning Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week Grace Jaffray notched 12 points, six rebounds and three blocks.

Junior Mikayla Caruso collected 15 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks for JWU, which turned 19 Viking turnovers into 19 points and shot 39 percent from the field – including 41 percent from three-point land (11-of-27). Defensively, the Wildcats held the home team to 28 percent shooting; the Vikings sank 18 of their 23 attempts from the charity stripe (78 percent).

The Wildcats outscored the Vikings 29-12 in the second quarter to turn a 23-18 deficit into a 47-35 halftime lead. Foley connected on a pair of three-pointers while both Jaffray and Caruso scored six points during the run, which saw JWU shoot 53 percent and score eight points off turnovers.
