Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men's Basketball falls to Seawolves in Hawaii

HONOLULU, Hawaii – Senior Jonah Phang became the JWU (Providence) men's basketball program's all-time leader in blocked shots in a 76-27 loss to Alaska-Anchorage Friday at the HPU Shark Tank on the campus of Hawaii Pacific University.

Phang – who tied with classmate Chris Botolino for the team lead in points with six – blocked a pair of shots to push his career total to 139 and move him into sole possession of first place in program history, surpassing the previous mark of 138, which was set by Mamadou Gueye (2000-01).

The Pelham, New York native also pulled down a team-high five rebounds to pace the Wildcats, who also received four points from both graduate students Mike Rogers and Sean Duke.

Junior Izaiah Shaw-Glen was named to the Hoops in Hawaii All-Tournament Team.
