Chris Alexander scored a pair of third-period goals to propel the JWU (Providence) men's ice hockey team to a 3-2 win over Westfield State University Tuesday night in non-conference action at Lynch Arena.

The contest appeared destined for overtime when graduate student
Noel Parker hit Alexander at the left post for his third tuck of the season with 1:23 remaining in regulation. The Owls proceeded to pull their goaltender for the extra attacker and sent several unsuccessful shots towards Zinchenko, who turned aside all 11 shots he faced in the stanza.
Westfield State held a 39-34 shots advantage and both teams went 0-for-3 on the PP. Senior
Kadyn Fennell was credited with the second assist on the game-winner for JWU.
