Women's Basketball stays unbeaten with road win in New Jersey

MADISON, N.J. – Freshman Brianne Foley scored a game-high 17 points and snared 11 rebounds for the JWU (Providence) women's basketball team in a 70-62 win at FDU-Florham Friday night in non-conference action at Ferguson Recreation Center.

Classmate Grace Jaffray added 15 points and eight boards as JWU improved to 3-0 for the first time since the 2015-16 campaign. Junior Mikayla Caruso pulled down a career-high 20 rebounds to go with 10 points in 39 minutes of action while freshman Isabella Suero netted 13 points.

The Wildcats held the Devils to 28 percent shooting – including 26 percent in the fourth quarter (5-of-19) – and forced 17 turnovers. The visitors held a 53-47 edge on the glass and knocked down 10 triples, highlighted by four from Suero and a pair from sophomore Alexa Lora.

JWU – which trailed at the half – outscored the Devils 42-32 over the final 20 minutes of action as Foley and Jaffray combined to score 24 points on 8-of-18 shooting (44 percent).
