No. 15 Endicott hands Wildcats 7-2 loss

BEVERLY, Mass. – Graduate student Noel Parker scored his first collegiate goal the JUW (Providence) men's ice hockey team in a 7-2 loss to No. 15 Endicott Friday night in Conference of New England action at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Sophomore Chris Alexander also found the back of the net for the Wildcats, who were outshot 45-23 and slipped to 2-3-1 with the setback (2-2-1 CNE). Graduate student Brendan Shandley, along with sophomores Ryan Walsh and Joe Freeman, and freshman Bret Beale, each registered an assist.

Alexander netted his third of the season just 1:13 into the game to stake JWU to an early lead, however the Gulls ripped off five unanswered goals – including one shorthanded tally – to build a 5-1 lead after two periods of play. Parker's PP marker early in the third brought the visitors within three before two more from Endicott closed out the contest.

Sophomore Jake Inzirillo turned aside 38 shots and saw his record move to 2-2-1. JWU finished the night 1-for-6 with the man advantage and killed off both Endicott PP opportunities.
