PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) men's basketball team was defeated by Eastern Connecticut State University 53-39 in non-conference action Sunday afternoon at the Wildcat Center.

RJ Jones each picked up four points and three rebounds as JWU shot 33 percent from the field and was outrebounded 35-29.
The Warriors – who saw three student-athletes reach double-figures in scoring – knocked down 52 percent of their first-half field goal attempts (14-of-27) and closed the game at 47 percent. Each team committed 18 turnovers, and the two schools shot a combined 4-of-35 from downtown.
