Wildcats roll to 3-0 win over Pilgrims

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Graduate student Peyton Oliver threw down a match-high 14 kills for the JWU (Providence) women's volleyball team in a 3-0 win over New England College Tuesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) at the Wildcat Center. The Wildcats won 25-13, 25-14, and 27-25.

Oliver also picked up five digs and a pair of service aces for the Wildcats, who ran their win streak to three and moved to 4-1 in conference play (10-9 overall). JWU posted a .313 hitting pct. for the match – highlighted by a .423 clip in the opening set – and tallied 13 service aces with sophomore Ellie McLennan and freshman Skylar Winchester each getting three.

Junior Sierra Nausieda and freshman Nevaeh Arnold were each credited with nine digs while Arnold also handed out 20 assists and four different student-athletes – Arnold, junior Ajie Jagne, and freshmen Bailey Koopman and Annie Jerome – all had two blocks.

Arnold and Jagne, along with freshman Finleigh Benkwitt, each notched seven kills to go with Koopman's six.
