JWU wins fourth-straight GNAC match with 3-0 triumph at Anna Maria

PAXTON, Mass. – Freshman Nevaeh Arnold registered a team-high eight kills for the JWU (Providence) women's volleyball team in a 3-0 win at Anna Maria College Tuesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Fuller Activities Center.

The Wildcats – who won 25-9, 25-12, and 25-14 –improved to 15-11 with the win and 9-2 in conference play heading into the final four matches of the regular season. The team posted a .316 hitting pct., highlighted by a .423 effort in the second set.

Graduate student Peyton Oliver and freshman Skylar Winchester each picked up four kills while Oliver tallied a team-high seven digs. Sophomore Drew Leonardis filled the stat sheet with five digs and three assists while nine different student-athletes handed out at least one assist, led by freshman Sophia Diphilippo with five.

Other contributors for JWU included junior Katelyn O'Brien (three kills and two digs), junior Ajie Jagne (three kills), freshman Olivia Immel (four assists), and sophomore Carlie Tretera (four digs).
