Wildcats, Pride play to scoreless draw

WESTON, Mass. – The JWU (Providence) women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw at Regis (MA) University Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

The Wildcats fell behind the eight-ball just 4:19 into the match when sophomore Brynn Leahy was accessed a red card for a 'last defender' foul. The Wildcats (13-3-1, 11-0-1 GNAC) still managed to outshoot the Pride 14-1 as senior Emily DeRoehn, sophomore Jessica Lee, and freshman Jamie Davies each attempted three shots.

JWU – which also held a 10-0 edge in corner kicks – were stymied by Pride goalkeeper Cassidy Van Cott, who was credited with 14 saves. Senior Carly McCrumb was not tested for the Wildcats and saw her record move to 6-2-1.
