Wildcats, Raiders play to draw

NASHUA, N.H. – The JWU (Providence) men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with Rivier University in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action under the lights on Friday night at Merrill Field.

Senior Conner Elliott finished a feed from graduate student Aidan Bagley to give the Wildcats (12-1-3, 9-0-3 GNAC) an early lead. Jonathan Rudy equalized the game on a Rivier (5-4-6, 3-3-5 GNAC) free kick with 14:45 left in the opening frame. Despite chances from both sides through the remainder of the contest, the game would end in a tie.

Senior keeper Declan Caster made four stops for the Wildcats as JWU outshot the Raiders, 25-10. Both teams finished with five corner kick opportunities apiece. Senior Conner Elliott and junior Chad Parente each registered two shots on target.
