Brendan Shandley racked up a goal and two assists to propel the JWU-Providence men's ice hockey team to a 4-1 win over Anna Maria College Friday night in non-conference action at the New England Sports Village.
Sophomore
Brendan Doyle picked up a goal and an assist and freshman blueliner
Joe Freeman racked up two assists for the Wildcats, who have won consecutive games for the first time since wins over Framingham State (4-2) and Castleton (5-4) on January 4 and 7, 2022.
Junior
Jacob Perrin proved to be nearly unbeatable between the pipes for JWU, which was outshot 46-30 but connected on three of their six power-play chances to record their fourth win of the season. Senior captain

Sam Band, along with Doyle, all netted goals with the extra attacker.
Doyle opened the scoring with a PP marker at 15:14 of the first period. Following a scoreless second, the Wildcats doubled their lead when Band potted his third of the campaign. The AMCats cut their deficit in half exactly two minutes later before Rickett answered with his 10th goal to restore JWU's two-goal lead. Shandley staked the home team to a three-goal and capped the scoring at 13:43.
