Game Recap: Women's Ice Hockey |

Huskies down Wildcats in OT, 3-2

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Sophomore Zoe Tow collected two assists for the JWU (Providence) women's ice hockey team in a 3-2 overtime loss to the University of Southern Maine Friday night in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action at the New England Sports Village.

Freshman Anna Luecht and sophomore Kylie O'Keefe scored for the Wildcats, who outshot the Huskies 38-26. Junior Reese Middendorf registered an assist while senior Leah White turned aside 23 shots between the pipes for JWU.

Luecht opened the scoring 5:31 into the game with assists going to Tow and Middendorf. After USM tied the game at one early in the second, O'Keefe's second goal of the season midway through the period staked the Wildcats to a 2-1 lead.

The Huskies tied the game with 1:17 remaining in regulation and won it 2:17 into overtime on a goal from Madison Chagnon.

The two teams combined to go 0-for-9 on the power play; JWU went 0-for5 while USM was 0-for-4.
