ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Senior captain
Brent Rickett scored the game-winning goal with 39 seconds remaining in regulation to propel the JWU (Providence) men's ice hockey team to a 4-3 win over New England College Saturday afternoon in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action at the New England Sports Village.

Davis Bone added two goals and an assist for the Wildcats, who surpassed their win total for all of 2022-23 by rallying for two goals in the third. Sophomore
Brendan Doyle added a pair of helpers while senior
Carter Elrod scored his first of the season.
JWU entered the third trailing 3-3 before pulling even at three on Bone's second of the night off a feed from Doyle. Later in the third, Bone won an offensive zone draw back to Rickett, who fired a wrister past the glove hand of the NEC netminder for the game-winner.
The Pilgrims outshot the Wildcats 38-35 – including 21-8 in the second. JWU went scoreless in five chances with the man advantage and allowed one PP marker to the visitors on four opportunities.
