Brendan Doyle scored goals for the JWU-Providence men's ice hockey team in a 5-2 loss at Vermont State University-Castleton Saturday afternoon in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's hockey action at Spartan Arena.

Shandley opened the scoring 7:43 into the first to stake the visitors to an early lead. Following two Spartan goals, Doyle scored on the PP with 5:07 remaining in the first to tie the game at two.
Castleton scored the eventual GWG with 17 seconds remaining in the second before adding two insurance markers in the third. Graduate student
