Kylie Schmidt scored her second goal of the season in JWU-Providence's 4-0 win over Colby-Sawyer College Saturday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
Junior
Angelina Oliveira and
Madison Sanborn, along with sophomore
Katie Gallagher, also scored goals for the Wildcats, who remained unbeaten in conference play at 8-0-0 (8-1-3 overall). Juniors
Leah Bragaw and
Carly McCrumb combined for one save in the shutout victory, the team's seventh clean sheet of the season.
The Wildcats outshot the Chargers 10-2 in the first half but were unable to get on the board until Oliveira redirected a free kick from junior
Emily DeRoehn 90 seconds into the second half. Schmidt did the same on a cross from freshman
Ava Wilder at 64:22 before Sanborn potted a loose ball at 70:50. Gallagher capped the scoring when she sent in a corner kick from the left side at 73:07.
