Renaud records hat trick in 8-0 win over AMCats

PAXTON, Mass. – Sophomore MacKenna Renaud picked up her first collegiate hat trick in JWU-Providence's 8-0 win over Anna Maria College in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's soccer action Saturday afternoon at AMCat Field.

Junior Emily DeRoehn added a pair of goals as the Wildcats extended their program-record unbeaten streak to open a season to 6-0-3 (6-0-0 GNAC). Junior Skyla Landry added a pair of assists while classmate Madison Sanborn, sophomore Katie Gallagher, and freshman Sophia Warburton also found the back of the net.

JWU struck for five goals in the opening half before Renaud struck for two goals in the final 10 minutes to cap off her hat trick. The Wildcats closed the match with a 27-4 edge in shots. Juniors Carly McCrumb and Leah Bragaw, as well as freshman Ava Vaughan, all saw time in goal with Bragaw and Vaughan each recorded one save.
