WESTON, Mass. – Senior Taina Gamory registered nine points in Johnson & Wales (RI) University's 15-3 win at Regis (MA) College Sunday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's lacrosse action at Sharon Field.
Gamory scored three goals and dished out six assists while junior Maris DiBeneditto added three goals and three helpers for the Wildcats (7-2), who remained perfect in conference play at 7-0. Junior Katie Sloan filled the stat sheet with three goals, five ground balls, four caused turnovers, and an assist, and both senior Ally Wilson and sophomore Madeleine Gould found the back of the net twice.
Sophomore Emma Glyman stopped six shots in goal to earn her seventh win of the season for JWU, which outshot the Pride 31-12 and forced 33 turnovers. Gamory, meanwhile, also collected eight ground balls, won six draw controls, and caused three turnovers.
