FRANKLIN, Mass. – Senior Taina Gamory scored six goals for the Johnson & Wales (RI) University women's lacrosse team in a 19-3 win at Dean College Wednesday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Grant Field.
Gamory also added two assists as the Wildcats (11-2) remained unbeaten in conference play at 11-0. Sophomore Madeleine Gould added five goals and an assist for JWU while senior Maris DiBeneditto collected six points (4-2-6) and sophomore Isabella Nugent racked up a goal and two apples.
Sophomore Neely Connor led the Wildcats with six ground balls and tied for the team lead in caused turnovers (five) with freshman Fara Holland. Sophomore Emma Glyman stopped seven shots to move to 11-2 on the season.
JWU outshot the Bulldogs 38-12 and forced 25 turnovers.
