Erickson's bat, Feole's arm help Wildcats sweep Lyons

NORTON, Mass. – Junior Hailey Erickson recorded three hits and three RBI as the Johnson & Wales (RI) University softball team took a pair of games from Wheaton (MA) College Tuesday night in non-conference action at Clark Softball Field.

Game One: Wildcats 6, Lyons 4
Erickson went 3-for-4 with a three-run blast and three RBI for the Wildcats, who rallied for six runs in the sixth inning. Junior Julia Huzi opened the rally with an RBI double before Erickson's blast tied the game ta four. Later in the inning, freshman Mady Lyons and graduate student Megan Antaya scampered home on a wild pitch and an error on the same play. Sophomore Katie Scheid recorded her 10th win of the season as she allowed 11 hits and four runs with two walks and one strikeout over five. Junior Sage Borkowski tossed two innings of scoreless relief to earn the save.

Game Two: Wildcats 4, Lyons 0
Lyons went 2-for-3 and smacked her team-leading sixth home run of the season, and sophomore Caroline Amorelli went 2-for-2 with a sac fly. Graduate student Livia Feole allowed just one hit over seven innings of work to win her fourth-straight decision.
