NEWTON, Mass. – Sophomore Madeleine Gould scored seven goals in Johnson & Wales (RI) University's 19-6 win at Lasell College Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's lacrosse action at Grellier Field.
Junior Maris DiBeneditto added five goals while senior Margaret Johnson, junior Katie Sloan, and sophomore Taina Gamory all scored twice for the Wildcats, who moved to 4-2 with the win (4-0 GNAC). DiBeneditto and Gamory each dished out six assists, and Gould chipped in with two of her own as JWU outshot the Lasers (2-5, 2-3 GNAC) 45-15 and forced 24 turnovers.
Sophomore Emma Glyman recorded seven saves to earn her fourth win of the season. Gamory led all student-athletes with four caused turnovers.
