Wildcats split doubleheader at UMass Dartmouth

DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales (RI) University softball team split its non-conference doubleheader with UMass Dartmouth Friday afternoon at the UMass Dartmouth softball field.

Game One: Wildcats 3, Corsairs 1
Graduate student Megan Antaya sparked a three-run sixth innings with a two-run single to propel JWU to its seventh win of the season. Junior Hailey Erickson also picked up an RBI for the Wildcats, who received seven innings of four-hit ball from sophomore Katie Scheid. She did not walk a batter and fanned three to earn her fifth win of the season.

Game Two: Corsairs 2, Wildcats 0
Graduate student Jill Pulek picked up a double and finished and was one of five student-athletes to pick up a hit. Junior Sage Borkowski took the loss, allowing three hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings to go with one walk and one strikeout.
