PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Alex Padula racked up eight points on four goals and four assists in Johnson & Wales (RI) University's 18-1 win over Hilbert University Saturday afternoon in non-conference men's lacrosse action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
Classmate Noah Fye added six points on three goals and three assists for the Wildcats, who moved to 3-0 for the first time in program history. A total of 11 student-athletes registered at least one point for JWU, which held an opponent to one goal for the first time since April 11, 2018 against Albertus Magnus.
Junior Brent Rickett – who joined the team earlier this week – registered five points (2-3-5) while senior Andrew Vasile racked up three points (1-2-3) and sophomore Donny McInnis potted two goals. Senior Mike Catuosco went 16-of-19 at the X and finished with 15 ground balls and six caused turnovers.
