Wildcats skate to 3-3 tie with Rivier

NASHUA, N.H. –Freshman Harout Torosian scored his first collegiate goal in JWU-Providence's 3-3 tie at Rivier University Friday night in non-conference men's hockey action at Conway Arena.

Senior Hayden Haldane and sophomore Davis Bone also found the back of the net for the Wildcats (2-7-2), who saw freshman netminder Jake Inzirillo stop 40 shots.

Torosian's marker 2:36 into the contest gave JWU the early lead. Senior Ryo Namiki and freshman Brad Crook were credited with assists on the goal. The Raiders responded with a pair to move in front 2-1 before Haldane converted a feed from freshman Chris Alexander into his first goal of the season to tie the game at two after 20 minutes.

Bone's third goal of the season in the second temporarily put the Wildcats 3-2, however the Raiders knotted the score at three less than four minuets later to cap the scoring.

JWU closed the night 7-for-8 on the penalty kill and was outshot 43-33.
