Game Recap: Women's Ice Hockey |

Vikings down Wildcats, 4-2

SALEM, Mass. – Junior Paige Henault and freshman Anna Luecht scored goals for the JWU-Providence women's ice hockey team in a 4-2 loss at Salem State University Friday night in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action at Rockett Arena.

Senior netminder Leah White recorded 20 saves between the pipes for the Wildcats (1-6-0, 1-4-0 NEHC), who received assists from graduate student Sara Cruise, and juniors Reese Middendorf and Haylee Owen.

JWU trailed 2-0 before goals from Henault at 9:03 of the second and Luecht at 14:41 tied the game at two. The Vikings (2-5-0, 1-2-0 NEHC) scored the go-ahead goal with 2:01 remaining in the third.

Salem State went 1-for-3 on the power play. The Wildcats failed to convert on a pair of chances with the extra attacker.
