BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The JWU-Providence men's basketball team was defeated by WPI 85-51 Friday night at the BSU Cave Classic at the Adrian Tinsley Center.

Josh Zangerle led the Wildcats (1-2) with eight points each. Classmate
Chris Botolino added six points off the bench while freshman
Abdoulaye Kourouma pulled down a team-high four rebounds.
The Engineers shot 49 percent and had three student-athletes score in double-figures, led by John Adams with 12 points. They turned 23 JWU turnovers into 32 points and held a 39-26 edge on the glass.
WPI knocked down 58 percent of its first-half field goal attempts and built 44-19 halftime lead.

Aireus Raspberry entered the contest with 990 career points and closed the contest 1-for-4 shooting for three points.
