PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior
Lloyd Guyton was one of three JWU-Providence men's soccer student-athletes to score twice in a 6-2 win over Colby-Sawyer College Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Senior Day and Homecoming Weekend at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
Graduate students
Aidan Bagley and
Jonathan Baker also found the back of the net twice as the Wildcats overcame an early own goal to move to 8-2-1 on the season (7-1-0 GNAC). Baker and Bagley, along with graduate student
Alexander Pane, junior
Brian Miller, and sophomore
Carlos Andrade, each collected an assist as JWU outshot the Chargers 22-7.
Bagley, Baker, and Guyton scored three times in a span of 9:50 in the first half to give the Wildcats a 3-1 halftime lead. Bagley pushed the lead to 4-1 less than 14 minutes into the second half before Guyton and Baker potted goals less than three minutes apart later in the stanza.
JWU held a 10-0 edge in corner kicks. The loss drops Colby-Sawyer to 2-7-3 (1-5-3 GNAC).
