MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – The JWU-Providence women's ice hockey team was defeated by Salve Regina University 4-1 Saturday night in non-conference action at St. George's Ice Rink.

Paige Henault scored her first goal of the season for the Wildcats (0-2-0) while sophomore
Allyson Barry picked up an assist on the goal, which came late in the second period.
JWU spent a good portion of the game on the penalty kill as it was accessed nine minor penalties, eight of which they killed off. The Wildcats were outshot 33-18 and fell behind 3-0 before Henault got the visitors on the board.

Leah White stopped 29 of 32 shots between the pipes for the Wildcats.
