NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The JWU-Providence men's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie at Norwich University Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Sabine Field.
The tie moves the Wildcats to 10-2-4 on the season (9-1-3 GNAC) and keeps them alive for homefield advantage throughout the conference playoffs. JWU outshot the Cadets 19-8 on the afternoon – including 10-2 in the first half – and received one save from graduate student
Jacob Friedman.
Elliott netted his fifth goal of the campaign 15:26 into the match and the Wildcats held the lead until early in the second half when Nathan Statires collected his fifth marker of 2023 to tie the match.
Elliott led all student-athletes with seven shots while graduate student
Aidan Bagley tallied four shots for JWU.
