PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Sophomore
Lauren Moriarity picked up a natural hat trick in JWU-Providence's 8-1 win over New England College Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's soccer action on Senior Day at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
Seniors
Sammie Strong and
Madison Sanborn, along with juniors
Katherine Dufour and
Angelina Oliveira and freshman
Gracie Kauffman, all found the back of the net as the Wildcats (12-1-3, 12-0-0 GNAC) outshot the Pilgrims 32-1.
The Wildcats opened the just 1:12 into the match on Strong's first goal of them season. Sanborn doubled the lead four minutes later before Moriarity potted three goals in a span of 7:57 to make it 5-0 at the half.
Junior
Carly McCrumb improved to 8-1-2 as she played the first half before being relieved by classmate
Leah Bragaw.
