BRISTOL, R.I. – The Johnson & Wales (RI) University men's soccer team was defeated by Roger Williams University 2-1 Wednesday evening in non-conference men's soccer action at Bayside Field.
Graduate student Ricky Africo scored his first goal of the season in the loss for the Wildcats (1-1-1). The Hawks held an 11-10 edge in shots.
Africo scored the only goal of the first half to stake the visitors to a 1-0 halftime lead. A pair of goals from Liam Blaisdell at 54:57 and 75:41, respectively, in the second half propelled RWU to its first win of 2022.
Senior Jacob Friedman turned aside three shots for the Wildcats.
