FRANKLIN, Mass. – Sophomore Masina Tupea was one of three Johnson & Wales (RI) University student-athletes to notch eight kills in a 3-0 win at Dean College Wednesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's volleyball action at Pieri Gymnasium.
Junior Sarah Miller and Peyton Oliver also tallied eight kills for the Wildcats (5-5, 1-0 GNAC), who won game one 25-13, game two 25-21, and game three 25-22. Tupea also collected seven digs while Oliver picked up six service aces and four kills and Miller tallied two digs and two aces.
JWU freshman Daniela Rank chipped in with seven kill and four digs, finishing the match with an outstanding .778 hitting pct. Senior Sibel Truong and sophomore Kyra Hissner combined for 28 assists, and freshman Nicole Abril registered a team-leading 11 digs.
