BRISTOL, R.I. – Sophomore Haley Budenas scored her first collegiate goal in the third quarter to propel the Johnson & Wales (RI) University field hockey team to a 2-1 win over Roger Williams University Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action at Bayside Field.
Graduate student Jillian Miele also scored for the Wildcats, who remained perfect on the season at 8-0. Senior Madison Flaxington turned aside seven shots to record her eighth win of 2022 while sophomore Darian Sherpherd collected an assist on Miele's marker and senior Margaret Johnson's assisted on Budenas' GWG.
The Hawks (5-3) outshot the Wildcats and held a slim 11-10 advantage in penalty corners.
