BOSTON, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales (RI) University women's volleyball team was defeated by Emerson College 3-0 in non-conference action Tuesday night at Brown and Plofker Gym. The Lions captured game one 25-19, game two 25-16, and game three 25-20.
Junior Peyton Oliver paced the Wildcats (1-4) with 15 kills while graduate student Sarah Miller collected eight to go with eight digs. Junior Emily Corbett racked up 13 digs, sophomore Kyra Hissner picked up 27 assists and 10 digs, and sophomore Masina Tupea recorded eight digs and three kills.
JWU posted a .256 hitting percentage in the third set but finished the match at .138.
