The Johnson & Wales Baseball team took on the Salve Regina Seahawks on Saturday afternoon at the University of Rhode Island. The Wildcats fell 7-0 in nine innings, dropping 0-1 on the season.
The Seahawks did most of their damage in their early innings, taking a 4-0 lead after two innings. They added three more runs over the final seven innings to take the game 7-0.
JWU's lone hit came from Trevor Juan (Bolton, Conn.), who singled in the sixth inning, but was unable to make it home to score the first Wildcat run.
JWU gets back in action this week as they travel to Auburndale, Florida to take part in the RussMat Invitational all week.
