WATERVILLE, Maine – The Johnson & Wales (RI) University men's ice hockey team dropped a 5-2 decision at Bowdoin College Saturday afternoon at the Colby-Bowdoin Classic at Sidney J. Watson Arena.
Sophomore Connor Blanchard and freshman Brendan Doyle each found the back of the net for the Wildcats while senior Kodi Legassie, junior, Noel Parker, and freshman Cam Martin each collected an assist. Sophomore netminder Jacob Perrin turned aside 38 shots as JWU was outshot 43-36.
Blanchard and Doyle scored 1:23 apart in the second period to turn a 2-0 deficit into a 2-2 tie. The Polar Bears struck for a PP goal late in the second that proved to be the game-winner before potting two more in the third period.
