PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Johnson & Wales (RI) University women's volleyball team cruised to a pair of 3-0 wins over Lasell and Albertus Magnus in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action Saturday afternoon at the Wildcat Center.
Match One: JWU 3, Lasell 0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-16)
Juniors Peyton Oliver and Sarah Miller each threw down 12 kills to lead the Wildcats to a sweep of the Lasers. Senior Emily Corbett notched 13 digs, senior Sibel Truong and sophomore Kyra Hissner combined to hand out 24 assists, and freshman Nicole Abril collected five service aces. Miller added seven digs and three service aces while Oliver racked up six digs.
Match Two: JWU 3, Lasell 0 (25-11, 25-21, 25-6)
Oliver racked up 14 kills while Miller tallied nine and both graduate student Amanda Koch and freshman Ajie Jagne had four kills. Hissner handed out 21 assists, Oliver notched six service aces, and Miller picked up five aces.
