BRISTOL, R.I. – The Johnson & Wales (RI) University women's volleyball team posted a pair of 3-0 wins Saturday afternoon over Wellesley College and Roger Williams University Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
Match One: JWU 3, Wellesley 0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-18)
Junior Peyton Oliver notched a match-high 15 kills and classmate Sarah Miller picked up 12 for the Wildcats. Graduate student Amanda Koch registered eight kills and registered a hitting pct. of .467., sophomore Kyra Hissner handed out 20 assists, senior Sibel Truong notched 16 helpers, and senior Emily Corbett collected 28 digs.
Match Two: JWU 3, Roger Williams 0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-14)
Oliver and Miller combined for 28 kills as the Wildcats moved to 12-8 on the season. Hissner chipped in with six kills to go with 22 assists while Koch picked up six kills, four digs, and three blocks, Miller racked up 11 digs, and Corbett registered 17 digs and one service ace.
