NEW LONDON, N.H. – Sophomore Nolan Sooy scored the only goal of the match late in the second half to lift the Johnson & Wales (RI) University men's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Colby-Sawyer College Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Kelsey Soccer Field.
Sooy's unassisted marker came with 8:23 remaining in the match and sent the Wildcats back from New Hampshire with an 11-1-2 record – including an 8-0-1 mark in conference play, which is tops amongst all GNAC institutions. The win extended their win streak to eight.
Senior Jacob Friedman stopped three shots to earn his 10th victory of the season. JWU outshot the Chargers 13-4.
