PROVIDENCE - A week after locking up their first automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, the Wildcats took to the field to stay fresh for the postseason against Tufts. JWU picked up a 6-5 comeback win in the opener on Sunday before falling 16-6 in the nightcap.

Of Note:
The Wildcats fell behind 5-0 thru four innings before senior Colby Greenhalgh laced a two-run double to right to cut into the deficit in the 5th. Raimiel Rodriguez followed that up with an RBI single scoring Greenhalgh and bringing the Wildcats within two thru five innings. After Patrick Fleming knocked in a run in the 6th, the Wildcats stepped to the dish with three outs remaining. Greenhalgh rocked a leadoff game-tying homerun to left to kickstart the bottom of the 7th. Rodriguez connected for a double to left which led to a Kevin Duffy walk-off base-knock and a Wildcats 6-5 win.
In game two, Tufts raced out to an early 8-0 lead in the first inning and tacked on a three-run homerun in the 3rd before JWU got on the board in the home half of the inning. Clayton McAllister earned an RBI groundout before a pair of doubles by Joe Maracic and Duffy plated the first three runs of the game for the Wildcats. JWU earned three more runs in the 5th but it wasn't enough as the Jumbos won 16-6.
